Books on Broad will host Reid Buckley for a reading from his latest prose book Infinity, on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, 5:30pm - 7:00pm. Books on Broad is located at 944 Broad Street, Camden, S.C. 803-713-7323 M-S. The event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase and autographing. Seating is limited. Please arrive early, unless you don’t mind standing.
According to the author’s press release, “Infinity, a heterogeneous collection of essays, is the last prose work that Reid Buckley intends to publish. His friends will rejoice that he stops before his enemies cry his chorus that it’s high time. The major accomplishment of the book is its announcement of his rejection of the Republican Party and the beltway conservative establishment.”
Fergus Reid Buckley has been a noted public speaker since his debating championships at Yale. During the 1960s and 1970s, he toured the United States, taking on columnist Max Lerner in clashes that have been compared to the Lincoln-Douglas debates.
